History:

1848: Reverend Sievers establised a colony of German Immigrants here.

1880: Population was 768

2010: Population was 2,983

June 3, 1881: State legislature obtained Frankenlust Township (then part of Kochville Twp.) from Saginaw County and gave it to Bay County.

September 17, 2006 : Township’s 125th Anniversary Celebration
