If you live within 1,400 feet of the City Limits, according to Michigan State Law, you are Not Allowed to do any open burning.
To obtain a burn permit please call the township office at 686-5300. Leave your name, the address where you are going to burn, the date you would like to burn and a phone number where you can be reached. You can request a burn permit for up to 3 days. There is no fee for this permit.
